Freemasons believe in an ethical approach to life. Our values are based on integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness. Members are urged to regard the interests of the family as paramount. However, Freemasonry also teaches and practises concern for people, care for the less fortunate and help for those in need.

  • A warm welcome from Mike Adams, group chairman

May I thank you for visiting our website and I hope that it will be useful and informative both to Masons and non-Masons who wish to expand their interest in all aspects of Freemasonry.

Our Group of Lodges and Chapters is one of 22 groups within the Province of West Lancashire which is the largest Masonic Province. Our Group meets in the Urmston Masonic Hall, Westbourne Road, Manchester and the Davenport Hotel, Stockport. We have 15 lodges and five chapters meeting in the group.

Freemasonry is well established in this area with our oldest Lodge being  over 140 years old, but although some traditions have been upheld over the years, we are continuing to move with modern times which is clearly seen here on our new Website.
