The members of Architect Chapter No 1375 were honoured and delighted to receive Tony Hall, Provincial Grand Scribe Nehemiah as the representative of the Grand Superintendent to their installation meeting which was held at Urmston Masonic Hall.
Tony was accompanied by Supreme Grand Chapter officer, Brian Hayes, along with other acting officers, David Durling (group vice chairman) Provincial Grand Standard Bearer, Derek Ishmal, Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies and Robert Duff, Provincial Grand Steward, along with other distinguished Provincial grand officers, group officers and visiting companions.
Chapter director of ceremonies Gareth Jones, stood and as per the summons and made the declaration that the three principals would remain in their respective offices for the ensuing year.
With Malcolm Jacobs having been declared as first principal, David Benson as second principal and Andrew Makin as third principal, there then followed excellent robe addresses given by David Durling to the first principal, Malcolm Jacobs to the second principal and David Benson to the third principal. Tony rose and gave an address to the companions of the chapter
On completion of the ceremony, Tony rose again, this time to bring the greetings and good wishes to the three principals and of course to the companions for a prosperous and healthy year ahead from the Grand Superintendent Tony Harrison.
He said that if Tony had been present he would have witnessed a most excellent installation ceremony and on Tony’s’ behalf, congratulated the director of ceremonies Gareth Jones and to all those who took their part in the evening’s event, he also thanked all those who had taken office in the chapter.
First principal Malcolm Jacobs rose and thanked Tony for his very kind words and on behalf of the chapter companions presented Tony with a charity envelope and with Malcolm’s permission, Tony read out the contents which was a cheque made out to the West Lancashire Freemasons’ Charity for £150. Tony thanked the members on behalf of all those who would eventually benefit from the chapter companions very generous donation.
At the first rising, Brian Hayes conveyed the greetings and good wishes on behalf of the grand officers, Brian said it had been a most excellent ceremony and was pleased to see such good support for the chapter and conveyed wishes for an enjoyable year ahead.
A very friendly and buoyant festive board continued into the evening where, in his response, Tony offered his own congratulations to the companions, similarly he concurred with the comments of the evening being of such a good standard of ceremony. The toasts of the evening having ended thus concluded a most enjoyable meeting.
