Clearly showing continuing charitable support, Peel Moat Lodge No 7633 at their previous installation meeting had proved their allegiance not only by presenting numerous supportive donations to non- Masonic charities but also to the West Lancashire MCF 2021 Festival by becoming the first lodge in the South Eastern group to achieve ‘Patron’ status in recognition of their support for the festival.
In an effort to increase awareness of the festival, the group charity steward Darren Gregory, who has been visiting lodges and chapters throughout the group, was visiting the lodge to give his ‘MCF 2021 Festival’ charity presentation talk to the lodge. On that evening, it had been a decision of the master, Alex Keenlyside and members of the lodge, through lodge charity steward John Hanson to present another donation of £200 to be passed to Darren to give to the festival. With previous donations, the lodge have now ‘topped up’ their cumulative support to £3,000 earning them their well-earned lodge patronage.
Darren said he was very impressed to receive a £200 donation alone but for it to be representative of a total of £3,000 was clearly a magnanimous effort shown from the brethren of Peel Moat Lodge.
It goes without saying that there are grateful thanks to the lodge on behalf of those who will ultimately benefit from their very kind generosity.
Darren’s message of awareness of the West Lancashire MCF 2021 Festival starting in May is that there is a selection of merchandise including, gloves, festival ties, jewels, cuff links, pocket squares, all being available to purchase through the group either via Darren himself or Mike Adams and David Durling. All profits from the sales will be contributed to the festival fund.
